From being picked over for a true freshman at Kansas State to a National Champion, Ohio State quarterback Will Howard has one of the best college football stories there could ever be.

Howard started his college football career in Manhattan, Kansas, with the Kansas State Wildcats, and after playing sparingly as a freshman when starters were injured, it just seemed like Howard was never able to get over the hump to become elite. Kansas State got their quarterback of the future when they signed Avery Johnson, and after his true freshman season, Howard saw the writing on the wall and chose to enter the transfer portal.

Suddenly, Howard emerged as the Buckeyes' newest quarterback, raising the eyebrows of a lot of people. clearly, head coach Ryan Day knew what he was doing, but now, almost an entire year later, Howard is hoisting the National Championship trophy in an Ohio State uniform.

When interviewed after the clock struck zero in the National Championship, Howard became emotional talking about his time with the Buckeyes and warning, it might have you reaching for the tissues.

Howard made sure to give thanks to the Lord, his family, his teammates, his coaches, and everyone who supported him in his hometown, Downingtown, Pennsylvania. He spoke about how the offense played the best they could throughout the entire game.

It wasn't until Howard asked about how Ryan Day and the group at Ohio State had changed his life, it can easily be seen that he began to tear up. Howard said something so heartwarming that will just make every college football fan smile.

"I don't have words, man, they've changed my life in more ways than I can say, man, and Coach Day and these guys here at completely changed my life," Howard said in his postgame interview. "I can't believe God gave me the chance to be a Buckeye."

Howard leaves Ohio State a National Champion in his only season with the Buckeyes and he couldn't be happier and neither could Buckeyes fans.

Well, Will Howard, we are overjoyed that you got the chance to be a Buckeye as well, and we can't wait to watch you on Sundays in the NFL.
