Heading into Saturday, the Ohio State football team has yet to travel on the road for a game. They do so coming off a bye week, which helps with the fact that they had to travel to the West Coast. Washington is an undefeated team, but somehow, they are still unranked.

This will be a test for the Ohio State Buckeyes, but they still feel great about their chances of going on the road and getting a win. Part of the reason for that thinking is that Washington is coming into this game very injured, having several guys on defense on the injury report.

Meanwhile, the Buckeyes are essentially injury-free with the news that Lorenzo Styles is good to go after the bye week. Unfortunately for the Huskies, it looks like they will be without one of their starting cornerbacks, making things even harder for them.

Washington corner Tacario Davis is doubtful for game against the Ohio State football team

According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, starting cornerback Tacario Davis is doubtful for this matchup against the Buckeyes. Davis has been out since September 6th against UC Davis, when he sustained the injury.

This is big news for the Buckeyes. If Ryan Day was thinking about being conservative in the passing game, he might rethink that. He might allow Julian Sayin to throw it around the field a little bit more. Not having Davis severely lessens the depth that the Huskies have.

This is also good news for Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate. They are already extremely difficult to defend, but now they will be even harder to stop. Washington might be forced to play a lot more zone than they wanted to with Davis out, although they may have been planning on zone anyway.

Ohio State might try to go right after the corners to start this game. How aggressive they are to start this game will go a long way in determining what kind of game this will end up being.
