The Ohio State football program has the fourth-best recruiting class in the country right now. They have 15 commitments for the class so far, but have plenty of time to add some really good players. There are a lot of four and five-star kids still on the board to land.

As the Ohio State Buckeyes continue to hit the recruiting trail, there are two specific recruits that the Buckeyes have to land. They are both five-star recruits who can play almost immediately. They are offensive lineman Felix Ojo and five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson.

Ojo is rated as the second-best tackle in the country. Atkinson is listed as the best linebacker in the country. Both of them have already visited the Buckeyes in an official capacity. Ohio State would love to get both of them to sign and play in Columbus for the next three or four years.

Why the Ohio State football team needs Felix Ojo and Tyler Atkinso to commit

Atkinson would give the linebacker room another really good player to take over next season when Sonny Styles is gone and in the NFL. He has a lot of the same skills that he has and would fit well in Matt Patricia's defense because he can do multiple different things.

Ojo would be someone who can start at left tackle day one. He has the size and the strength necessary to man that spot as a true freshman. He would also be the first five-star recruit Ohio State has landed on the offensive line in five years.

Tyler Bowen and James Laurinaitis have each shown the ability to recruit. Landing these two players would give them a chance to stamp the 2026 class with a true blue-chip recruit. That would make Ohio State's depth even scarier for years to come.
