The Ohio State football team is very busy preparing for next season and the next few years. Despite winning a national title less than a month ago, the college football offseason has been quite busy for them. Ohio State has been busy replacing members of their staff who have left.

Brian Hartline is the new offensive coordinator after Chip Kelly left for the NFL. Tyler Bowen is the new offensive line coach after Justin Frye did the same thing. They still haven't found a new defensive coordinator after Jim Knowles left for rival Penn State.

The Buckeyes have also been very busy on the recruiting trail. They have been on the road, visiting prospects. Ohio State has been able to get a few crystal ball projections for some recruits, but they haven't gotten any commitments for a while. They're hoping that changes soon with an upcoming visit.

Top tackle recruit will visit the Ohio State football program

One of the best tackle recruits in the 2026 class will be visiting the Ohio State football program. Felix Ojo is a four-star tackle from the state of Texas. He has indicated that he will take a visit to Ohio State because he liked how they handled business once Frye did decide to head to the NFL.

Ojo could help the Buckeyes up front. He is 6'6 and 275 pounds and has some good abilities. The Buckeyes like his potential, so setting up a visit with him to come to campus is a good idea. Ohio State has a lot of offensive linemen from the state of Ohio who are also deeply considering the Buckeyes.

Ohio State was not great at recruiting offensive linemen under Frye. While he showed he could develop players and coach them up well, he never got an elite recruit. The hope is that Bowen can change that. He has a reputation for being a pretty good recruiter.

Getting Ojo would be a good first step for Bowen. Of course, Ojo likely won't make any decisions until he steps on campus for a visit. Ohio State should be able to make a good impression.
