The Ohio State football team had a great Spring when it came to adding recruits. They had a lot of prospects from the 2026 class commit to the program. Even though they didn't get any commitments right after the Spring Game, they got plenty of commits at other times.
The Buckeyes now have a top-five recruiting class, and they look like they will only get stronger on that front. They had a few five-star recruits visit Columbus during the Spring Game, and one of their top recruiting targets has now set a commitment date.
Bralan Womack is one of the best safety recruits in the entire country. In fact, he is a five-star recruit and is listed as the second-best safety recruit in the country for the 2026 class. Womack has now announced when he will be making his college choice, and it won't be for quite a while.
Ohio State football recruiting target sets Fall commitment date
Womack has set a commitment date for August 23rd. That gives the Ohio State Buckeyes a lot of time to figure out how to make the best impression to get him to want to be in Columbus. He has some other top programs that he is considering besides Ohio State.
Other than the Buckeyes, Womack is also considering Texas A&M, Florida, and Auburn. Ohio State is the only northern school that has a shot at landing him. They understand that it will be tough to get him out of the South, as he is from the state of Mississippi.
Ohio State already has the top-rated safety in the class. In fact, they have two commitments at that position already. They are hoping to add another five-star recruit in the secondary. Womack would certainly pair nicely with Blaine Bradford for years to come.
