The Ohio State football team has gotten a big boost from their win over Penn State. It gave them a lot of confidence that they can still win big games. The reworked offensive line proved that they can get the job done. It was a win that could turn the Buckeyes into the best team in the country.

It seems to have also given them a boost on the recruiting trail as well. They are still trying to get a couple of recruits for the 2025 class but have mostly turned their attention towards the 2026 class. One of the best recruits in that class will now be visiting the Buckeyes this weekend.

Zion Elee, a defensive end from Baltimore, Maryland, will be visiting this weekend. He is a five-star recruit and is rated as the second-best overall recruit in the country for this class. Despite the Ohio State Buckeyes playing a poor Purdue team, Elee wants to visit this weekend anyway.

The Ohio State football team will host a top defensive end recruit for the Purdue game

Elee stands at 6'3.5 and 220 pounds. He moves extremely well at that size as well. He has the strength to bullrush tackles and the speed to get around them too. His first step makes him absolutely lethal as a pass rusher. He's exactly the kind of defensive end the Buckeyes love.

Elee is versatile enough that he could drop back into coverage as well. He can even rush the passer from a linebacker position. His versatility is what makes the Buckeyes so excited about him. He's a really good player that Jim Knowles and Larry Johnson would love to have.

If Elee is visiting Columbus to watch the Buckeyes take on a terrible Purdue team, you can tell that he's seriously interested in the Ohio State football program. This would be the perfect week for the Buckeyes to have their defensive ends finally look like the players they are supposed to be.
