Three players who will decide the outcome of Ohio State football vs. Oregon
By Ryan Stano
2. Tez Johnson
Oregon's best receiver is Tez Johnson. Quite frankly, he's probably their best player on offense. He's the main weapon that the Ducks use in the passing game. So far this season, he has 43 catches for 395 yards and five touchdowns so far this season. He's the guy they want to get the ball to.
Quite frankly, the Ducks don't throw it to many other receivers. The next two leading receivers for Oregon still have eight fewer catches combined than Johnson does. He has almost half of the receiving touchdowns for the entire team. He's basically their Marvin Harrison Jr.
Ohio State's biggest key in the secondary will be to slow him down. I don't think they can stop him completely. Ohio State might have the best secondary in the country, but I still don't think there's any way to completely shut hum down. He's just too good of a player.
Expect the Buckeyes to keep a close eye on Johnson. Oregon is going to move him around in the formation to get him the most favorable matchups. The issue is that the secondary has so many good options to defend him, so it's going to be hard for him to be open.
If Oregon is going to win this game, Johnson is going to have to be a big part of this game. Ohio State needs to keep him under wraps if they want a victory. The final player on this list is one of those players who is going to be tasked with keeping tabs on Johnson.
