The Ohio State football team will be having its annual Spring Game this Saturday. It will be the first time that the fans will get to see this version of the team. The 2025 team will be defending a championship, something that none of the players have ever been in a position to do.

Ahead of the Spring Game, there are a few players who have a lot to prove. These three players have something to prove, not only with the coaching staff but with the fans as well. It's time that they show the ability to contribute, otherwise they might not contribute at all.

1. Tywone Malone

When Tywone Malone transferred to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 2023 season. This is his final year of eligibility, and he has not contributed to the Buckeyes in any meaningful way. He only has 13 total tackles in the last couple of years. He hasn't been able to break into the starting lineup.

It doesn't look like he will be in the starting lineup this year, either. At best, he will be considered a backup player who rotates in. If he has a poor game on Saturday, he'll be buried on the depth chart as he has been for each of the last two seasons.

2. Bryson Rodgers

The wide receiver room at the Ohio State football program is perhaps the most competitive room in all of college football. Bryson Rodgers has figured that out. He is trying to make sure that he can finally see the field, although there are a few other guys who could end up getting time instead of him.

The top three receivers are already locked in on the depth chart. It looks like Quincy Porter and Mylan Graham are fighting for that fourth spot. Suddenly, the spots on the field are looking like they are drying up. If Rodgers doesn't have a good game on Saturday, he might see more of the bench again this year.

3. Aaron Scott

Aaron Scott had a lot of potential when he came into the Buckeyes. He wasn't able to do much as a freshman because of injuries. The cornerback position is also very competitive on this roster. Scott could already be pressed on the depth chart by Devin Sanchez, incoming freshman.

Scott is trying to possibly be the slot cornerback. A strong Spring Game could give him a chance to win that job. He was a four-star recruit when he came in, so he clearly has talent. Of the three players on this list, he has the most chance of getting some playing time.
