3. Tarvos Alford

As mentioned at the start of this article, Tarvos Alford is someone who looks like he could de-commit at any moment. Alford has also been committed to Ohio State for quite a while, giving his pledge at the end of March as well. Ohio State is bracing to lose him any time now.

Alford looks like he is on his way to Miami. He is a Florida kid, so this isn't the most shocking thing in the world. Miami has had strong NIL growth over the past few weeks and they are trying to sway some kids into staying in the state of Florida for college.

Losing Alford would hurt the least out of any of these other recruits because the Buckeyes also have another four-star linebacker in this class. Having Riley Pettijohn helps cushion the blow of losing Alford. The fact that Jim Knowles only plays two linebackers at a time helps too.

As of right now, none of these recruits have officially announced that they are de-committing from the Ohio State football program for any reason. Obviously, that could change. Ohio State still has two regular season games to bring kids on campus to change that.

It's going to be very interesting to see how Ryan Day and his staff are going to be able to finish this recruiting class. Even with the loss of Mathis, they still have the number-one recruiting class in the country.
