2. London Merritt

London Merritt is another guy that the Ohio State football team needs to worry about losing. Merritt is a four-star defensive end from the state of Florida. He also has been committed to the Ohio State football program for a while, pledging his commitment in March.

Merritt has been wavering lately in his decision. Colorado has made a big push lately to flip him. He even took an official visit to Colorado in October. The only other school he took a visit to following his commitment to the Buckeyes was North Carolina, and he visited Columbus the weekend after that.

Like Offord, it seems like NIL is playing a significant part in Merritt's recruitment. Mathis seems to have de-committed from Ohio State because of NIL offers from other schools and programs are now flooding Ohio State commits with some big money offers in attempts to sway them.

It seems like Merritt is a big candidate to flip. In fact, there are some Ohio State insiders who are even forecasting him to flip, although it's not a done deal. Again, how the Buckeyes are able to play this weekend in another top-five matchup will go a long way into keeping him.

The final guy the Buckeyes need to worry about de-committing is someone who is as good as gone.
