Three bold predictions for Ohio State football vs. Michigan
By Ryan Stano
2. Jeremiah Smith will have two touchdowns in his first game against TTUN
No one has been a more effective weapon in the passing game for the Ohio State football team than freshman receiver Jeremiah Smith. Smith is the best receiver prospect that the Buckeyes have ever had. He has broken every single freshman receiving record that there is in school history.
Now, he gets to play in his first Ohio State/Michigan game. The Buckeyes are going to target him just as they have in every game this year. So far, Smith has 899 yards and nine touchdowns. I expect both of those totals to increase after this game. Smith very well could get to 1,000 receiving yards after this game.
That's not my prediction, though. My prediction is that Smith gets two touchdowns in this game. He is going to be better than any cornerback that the Wolverines can throw at him. If they play any man-to-man coverage with him, he's going to eat that up. Zone is the only way to contain him.
Will Howard has done an excellent job of making good decisions so far this season. He is going to do the same thing in this game. He already has played in a lot of big games in his college football career. Howard has talked about how much he wants to win this game.
Our final bold prediction is about someone who has been one of the senior leaders of this team.
