It's finally here. After all of the hand-wringing, cheating scandals, and disappointment, The Game Week is finally here. The Ohio State football team is ready to get five years' worth of revenge on TTUN this week. Coming off a top-five win over Indiana, the Ohio State Buckeyes couldn't have any more momentum.

Following that victory against the Hoosiers, Will Howard has shown he deserves some Heisman consideration. Even though he threw a pick against IU, it wasn't his fault. It was a dropped pass. He still finished 22.26 for 201 yards and two touchdowns to go along with a rushing touchdown.

Howard has been passionate about the Ohio State/Michigan rivalry since the first day he arrived on campus. The transfer quarterback knows how much this game means to this program. His quotes following the win over IU show why Ohio State football fans love him so much.

When asked about The Game, this is what Howard had to say:

"I want this for them so bad. They've been here. I've seen it from a distance. I feel it, and I am a part of it now. And I want this for me, too. But I want this for those guys. I want it for Coach Day, to shut up the haters...this rivalry game means everything. We talk about it all the time. It's all over the place in our building. I'm honored to be a part of it. I won't take it lightly. This is the biggest game of our season. I'm looking forward to it."

Doesn't that just get you fired up? Having a quarterback who really cares about the rivalry is exactly what the Buckeyes need. Howard is the exact opposite in that regard from last year's quarterback Kyle McCord, who said that The Game is just another regular season game.

That kind of mentality is not going to fly with Ohio State football fans. It's part of the reason why the Buckeyes haven't been able to beat TTUN since 2019. Howard understands that this game is the most important one of the season and the one that means the most.
