This weekend, the Ohio State football program is going to have several recruits in Columbus this weekend. Right now, the Buckeyes have 13 commits for the 2027 recruiting class right now. Because of the low number of recruits, they don't have the highest-ranked class they've had under Ryan Day.

Day is hoping to land commitments this weekend. They will be having five recruits visiting this weekend, including a recent commit. Still, the Buckeyes are viewing this weekend as one of the most important recruiting weekends of the year for this class.

With the visits starting on Friday, there are three guys who are the most important of the guys coming in for a visit. Two of the three recruits are five-star recruits who could really help Ohio State on each side of the ball. We start with a star running back whom Ohio State has been chasing aggressively.

1. David Gabriel Georges

Five-star running back David Gabriel Georges is someone Ohio State desperately wants. They have been recruiting him extremely hard. Not only that, but they have changed their NIL philosophy in order for him to truly consider the Ohio State Buckeyes. They aren't afraid to pay him.

Georges has Ohio State in his final list of schools, but this is the first of the official visits he is making involving his finalists. The Buckeyes are hoping they can make an impression good enough that he decides to just commit on the spot and possibly cancel some of the other visits.

2. Marcus Fakatou

A five-star defensive lineman, Marcus Fakatou, is someone whom Ohio State has made a big push for recently. In fact, they have pushed enough to the point that a crystal ball prediction has been logged for the Buckeyes. Yet, Fakatou has not yet decided where he wants to go to school.

Fakatou would be another big-time recruit for Larry Johnson to bring in. It is clear that Johnson is still able to recruit at a high level. Landing Fakatou would be a great addition to the class. Johnson already has a commitment from five-star edge player DJ Jacobs, as well.

3. Prince Goldsby

The most recent Ohio State commit, Prince Goldsby, is going to be on campus as well. The Buckeyes were able to secure his commitment earlier in the week. So why is he so important during this official visit? That's simply because he is someone who can help recruit Fakatou to the program.

Goldsby is someone who can help recruit for the Buckeyes just as much as Johnson can. Fakatou is also making the first official visit for programs that he has on his final list. Once again, Ohio State is hoping that they make a strong enough impression that he possibly cancels other visits.

These are the three big recruits that Ohio State football fans need to keep their eyes on this weekend. Of course, there will be some big recruiting weekends that happen in both June and July, as well. Ohio State's recruiting push has just begun.
