The Ohio State football program ran through the College Football Playoff last year. It was the best four-game run in the history of college football. The Buckeyes got to play in the first-ever night home game in the Shoe in the month of December, too.

After that, the Buckeyes won the Rose Bowl and the Cotton Bowl before beating Notre Dame in the national championship. The 2024 version of the CFP was very good to the Buckeyes. Now, the challenge is for them to get back there in 2025 so they can defend their national championship.

Things are going to be tough for the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2025. They would like not to be playing a home game again, because that would mean they have won the Big Ten. The CFP Bowl games and times have been announced for the 2025 season, and the Buckeyes have marked their calendars.

The College Football Playoff has announced the CFP bowl games

The first quarterfinal game will be the Cotton Bowl on New Year's Eve at 7:30 pm. That is followed up by a trio of quarterfinal games on New Year's Day. The Orange Bowl will be at noon, the Rose Bowl will be at 4 pm, and the Sugar Bowl will cap things off at 8 pm.

Following the result of those games, the semifinals will be on Thursday, January 8th, and Friday, January 9th. The first game will be the Fiesta Bowl, while the second will be the Peach Bowl. Both games will kick off at 7:30 pm.

Finally, the National Championship Game is scheduled for January 19th at 7:30 pm. That's the one the Ohio State Buckeyes are hoping to be playing in the most. All games will once again be broadcast on ESPN and their family of networks.

If things go well for the Buckeyes, they will be playing in these games once again. They will need a lot of new starters to step up if they want to be able to do that.
