The Ohio State football program welcomes Texas in for the season opener at the end of the month. This is the second game in a row for the Longhorns in which they will be taking on the Ohio State Buckeyes. Texas certainly has revenge on its mind coming into the Shoe.

Julian Sayin was announced as the starting quarterback for the Buckeyes. He will lead the team against the Longhorns and beyond. While Texas has to face a different quarterback than they did in the Cotton Bowl, they still have to contend with Jeremiah Smith.

Sayin was the expected pick to lead the Buckeyes, as he has been the favorite to win the job since the Spring. Shortly after he was announced as the starting quarterback, one Texas player took the time to seemingly call him out with a cryptic post on social media.

Texas DE Colin Simmons calls out Julian Sayin for leading the Ohio State football team

Defensive end Colin Simmons posted an image of Sayin on his Instagram story shortly after it was announced that he would be the starting quarterback for the Buckeyes. He did so with no caption or any sort of context.

This strange post seems to indicate that he is targeting Sayin on August 31st. He is the enemy of the Longhorns, and this post seems to be a warning shot to Sayin that he is coming for him. The offensive line needs to be able to protect him throughout that game.

Sayin is a former five-star recruit, so he certainly has all of the talent necessary to take down Texas and lead Ohio State back to the College Football Playoff. He has the best group of pass-catchers to get the ball to, so that should make his job a lot easier, especially in the opening game.

Simmons was active in the Cotton Bowl against the Buckeyes, recording four tackles. He is going to be sent after Sayin as much as possible in order to make him uncomfortable. It wouldn't be shocking to see Texas blitz Sayin quite often early in this game to see how he responds.

The Buckeyes are going to be prepared for that up front. They will have four guys up front who played during the four-game run to the national championship a year ago. Those guys built some chemistry up front during that CFP run that will translate to this year.
