The Ohio State basketball program is taking on the TCU Horned Frogs on Thursday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. It's the first time that the Buckeyes have played in March Madness in four years. They didn't get a favorable draw, but they feel confident against TCU.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have been playing their best basketball at the end of the year. A win would mean they would take on Duke in the second round. The Blue Devils are the number-one overall team in the NCAA Tournament, so beating them would be a tall task.

Just a day before playing the game, TCU is giving Ohio State some bulletin board material. Forward David Punch talked some major trash about the Buckeyes, believing that the Horned Frogs are clearly the superior team.

TCU forward David Punch talks a massive amount of smack about Ohio State

While speaking before the game, Punch claims the Horned Frogs would beat the Buckeyes 90 percent of the time while talking to Adam Jardy of the Columbus Dispatch.

“I think at the end of the day, we win this nine times out of 10 because of how physically gifted we are as a team and athletically gifted. I can’t wait to see how we play. I think it’s just that dedication to each other as well. We want to go out there and play for each other. Height never really matters.”

Punch is giving the Buckeyes some serious material to use as motivation for this matchup. They shouldn't need much more motivation with this being Bruce Thornton's first time playing in the Big Dance. All of his teammates want to win for him. They believe they can get the job done.

Ohio State is hoping to make Punch eat his words in the first game of the 64-team tournament on Thursday at 12:15 pm.
