At the end of the Ohio State football vs. Texas game on Saturday, goodness, people were holding their breath thanks to Arch Manning and Co. storming back a bit. The score was 14-7, and Manning had the chance to tie things up or even go for the win.

Luckily, the Ohio State defense did its job and the Buckeyes were able to leave The Shoe with a thrilling victory. However, this one should have never been that interesting late in the action in the first place. That's because the SEC refs somehow didn't overturn what looked to be an obvious decision.

We're talking about the long TD pass from Manning to Parker Livingstone. The Texas wideout was able to make a miraculous catch, but several replays that were shown sure made it seem like the ball was going to be brought back. Take a look at the clip below. Just how was this confirmed as a TD?

Ohio State football was on the wrong end of a terrible call from the refs against Texas

The ball hits the ground, he switches possession from his right hand to his left one. Are we missing something? People are claiming that there wasn't conclusive evidence for the on-field decision to be flipped, but we're going to respectfully have to disagree with that.

The video above is clear as day. If we can see it, how did the review center miss it? SEC bias? That's what plenty of Ohio State fans are claiming, but in the end, that TD didn't matter. Manning and the Longhorns indeed had a chance to steal this one down the stretch, but Texas couldn't pull off the comeback.

Ryan Day probably breathed a huge sigh of relief after the Texas 4th-down play fell short with the game on the line. This was yet another statement win for the Buckeyes, which is something Day is quite used to as the leader of this team.

Julian Sayin was far from perfect in this one against the No. 1 team in the country, but he was good enough for Ohio State to start the year off 1-0. Luckily too, a brutal mistake from the refs didn't come back to haunt the reigning national champs.
