TTUN head football coach Sherrone Moore knows his Wolverines' secondary isn't ready to stop Jeremiah Smith when the Ohio State Buckeyes invade Ann Arbor, Michigan, this coming November.

He didn't pretend he had the answers on the sophomore star wideout while discussing Smith at Big Ten Football Media Days.

“He’s probably the best college football player that’s out there. He’s elite," Moore said, per Eleven Warriors.

“You’ve got to do everything you can to take the game out of his hands—but it’s going to be hard to do that. So you have to do everything you can as a team to go win. Offensively, special teams, and defensively—it’s got to be a team effort to win that game. We’ll get to that game when we get there. We think about that game enough. But [last season’s win] was an awesome performance from Wink Martindale and our staff.”

Luckily enough, Smith has it out for the maize and blue. He won't spare the Wolverines one bit when "The Game" commences during rivalry week.

Cleveland.com's Jimmy Watkins called Smith the "perfect messenger" for the TTUN hate. He almost certainly has that date circled on the schedule after being part of a title team, but still hearing about how it's been quadruple-digit days since beating the blue.

Wolverines EDGE Derrick Moore made it clear that he's got the date circled too.

"All I can say to that is see y'all in November," Moore said in a Big Ten Media Days interview. "If that's how he feels, that's how he feels - but when November comes around and it's time to play, we're gonna see."

After winning the past two titles at one apiece, OSU and TTUN face off in a rendition of "The Game" that's got more weight than usual.

Gold is heavy after all.
