Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin came into the season with a lot of people questioning if he could take over a National Championship-winning team. No one really gave him the credit he should have been given, but some of that was because he was unproven.

Well, with just a few weeks left in the regular season, and Ohio State not looking like they plan to lose any more games this season, Sayin is getting all the credit he deserves from the media and his head coach. In his weekly press conference, head coach Ryan Day talked about his offense and how great everyone is working in it, but made sure to credit the work of his young QB.

"I don't think it takes a genius to figure out that the kid has tremendous anticipation, touch, and a strong arm," Day said.

Sayin's performances as of late have thrust him not just into the Heisman conversation, but to the top as the young quarterback has led Ohio State to another 8-0 start. His most recent performance against Penn State was one of his best this season, going 20-for-23 with 316 passing yards and four touchdowns. The game before, he threw for a season and career high of 393 yards and four touchdowns.

Day wants to make sure he isn't just talking about how good his quarterback is, but gives real examples of his excellence. Day spoke more on the accuracy and arm strength of Sayin and how he can hit the small open space the ball has to be in to make sure the receiver can catch the ball.

Sayin came in and impressed so many, and even Day will say that some of the talents that he has can't be coached, and it is something a player just has to have.

Ohio State could not have asked for a better quarterback to take over for Will Howard the year after winning the National Championship. The Buckeyes are in a great spot to repeat as champions this season behind Sayin and all of his talents.
