The Ohio State football team has its first challenge on the road this weekend as it heads to Seattle to face the Washington Huskies. This couldn't have come at a better time for the Buckeyes, as this game comes directly after a bye week. That means that the Ohio State Buckeyes should be ready.

This game is the toughest test that the Ohio State has had since the opener against Texas. In that game, the Buckeyes won 14-7 in a low-scoring affair. While Julian Sayin looked good, Ryan Day didn't ask him to do too much in that game. He only led the Buckeyes to 203 yards of total offense.

Day wanted Sayin to make low-risk throws and just kind of manage the game against a really good team. Based on Day's comments on Wednesday night, he might be trying to have the same gameplan against the Huskies, especially in the passing game.

While speaking to the media, Day may have revealed that he wants Sayin to play a more conservative type of game, just like he did against the Longhorns.

"Take care of the football and just take it one play at a time. Don't do anything other than that, and then find a way to get your first road win. It's kind of like the Texas game — find a way to win."

If the Buckeyes decide to play like they did against Texas, this is going to be another low-scoring affair that the defense will be in control of. That's what happened in the season opener against Texas. The Buckeyes suffocated Texas and didn't let them come up for air.

With this being Sayin's first road start, it may not be a bad idea to be a little more conservative. Washington has a very good quarterback in Demond Williams Jr. Keeping him under wraps is going to be a key part of what Ohio State does. Sayin just needs to get the ball to Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate and let them do their thing.

There may not be as many deep shots in this game as there have been in the last couple of contests. Don't be surprised if Day keeps things a little closer to the chest in this one.
