Ryan Day craps the bed again as the Ohio State football team loses to TTUN again
By Ryan Stano
This was the year is was supposed to be different. The Ohio State football team was supposed to kill Michigan en route to the Big Ten Championship Game. They were supposed to show that they were ready to compete for a national championship after a dominant regular season.
Instead, it was more of the same. Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes lost to TTUN for the fourth straight year. This despite the fact that the Buckeyes were 19-point favorites in this game. Ohio State was supposed to crush a Michigan team that was just 6-5.
There were a lot of things that cost the Buckeyes in this game. Perhaps nothing was a bigger factor than Will Howard's poor play. Despite his play in the last few weeks, he played his worst game as a Buckeye. He threw two interceptions and finished just 19/33 for 175 yards and one touchdown.

Jayden Fielding also showed how bad of a kicker he is in this game. He missed two field goals under 40 yards in this game. This is the same kicker who kicked the ball three straight times out of bounds against Marshall. It's clear Ohio State doesn't have a guy they can trust there.
Ryan Day has shown that he can't get it done. He is out of excuses after a 13-10 loss against a Michigan team that shouldn't have come anywhere close to winning. Ohio State will now not play for. Big Ten Championship and might have to play a road game in the CFP.
At this point, the only thing that can save Day's job is winning a national title. Anyone who watched this game would be hard-pressed to say that this team is good enough to win it all with the current coach in charge of the program.
