Ohio State will get its best shot at flipping top 2027 wide receiver prospect Kesean Bowman this weekend.
Bowman, an Oregon commit, will be in Columbus for tomorrow's showdown against Texas. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound blue-chipper from Brentwood, Tennessee, also plans to be in attendance for Tennessee-Georgia on September 13 and will visit Oregon multiple times.

One of the things that put Oregon ahead of the pack was Bowman's relationship with Ducks wide receivers coach Ross Douglas.
"We have a great relationship. Nobody else, no other school, has been talking to me as much or as long as them. That relationship is next level," Bowman said about Douglas. :"On Wednesday, we talked again, and it made me realize I wanted to commit to play for them and I realized that was home.
Obviously, this is going to be a tough recruitment and a tough pull from Oregon, at least in the short term, because Bowman is tight with the Ducks coaching staff and probably wouldn't consider any changes until he visits Tennessee and Oregon. But this is a great opportunity for the Buckeyes to get Bowman in the house for a big game and for him to see up close how amazing the receivers at Ohio State are.
The recruiting pitch seems simple: "We're the best"
There's no better program for wide receivers right now than Ohio State and the facts back this up. The Buckeyes have had five receivers selected in the first round over the past four NFL drafts. It's almost indisputable that Jeremiah Smith will be the first wide receiver selected in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Young receivers can thrive in the Buckeyes offense. Smith had an incredible freshman year while Marvin Harrison Jr. and Jaxon Smith-Njigba had incredible campaigns as sophomores. If you have the skills and the chops, Ryan Day and Brian Hartline will not hesitate to put you on the field in major situations.
The early returns on Bowman show the potential for him to be a five-star prospect when the 2027 class is properly rated. He had over 1,000 yards receiving as a sophomore and is a good candidate to be the top-rated prospect from Tennessee in his recruiting class.
