Ohio State is finishing up preparations before Week 1 of the season arrives. One of the things they have to figure out is who will be starting on the offensive line. The Buckeyes have been shuffling some players around, trying to figure out what the best five-man offensive combination looks like.
They have been shifting Austin Siereveld between left tackle and right guard, trying to figure out the right combination. Ja'Kobi Jackson may have let it slip what the starting combination is. Ryan Day essentially all but confirmed that Jackson was right about the starting offensive line.
Ryan Day confirms they are leaning towards putting Austin Siereveld at right guard
While speaking to the media, Day confirmed that Siereveld will more than likely be the right guard. That means that Ian Moore will be the starting left tackle, and the rest of the offensive line has already been set. Day still won't say that this is the starting lineup they are definitely rolling with, though.

The Buckeyes have used that rotation quite a bit throughout Fall camp, as they have been very high on Moore's potential. Moving Siereveld from the left tackle spot he was at last season. He played well last season at that spot, so they must trust Moore a lot to move Siereveld over.
Philip Daniels seems to have solidified trust with Ryan Day and Tyler Bowen to keep him at right tackle. He was very bad in the final two games of the season against the Hoosiers and the Hurricanes. Those issues seem to be a thing of the past.
Ohio State neglected to go into the Transfer Portal to address any concerns up front. Instead, Day basically told Tegra Tshabola to leave, and he did. They had trust in the other four guys who were returning, and now he has a set of five guys that he trusts to start.
Ryan Day still has starters to figure out elsewhere on the roster
Day mentioned that there is no true number one tight end and that the two new tight ends will likely be on the field a lot with what the offense is doing. On defense, Day was asked about the defensive line starters. Day mentioned that they are still working some things out up front.
On the defensive line, it will likely be James Smith and Eddrick Houston who start at defensive tackle. Kenyatta Jackson Jr. is already locked in at one defensive end spot. The other defensive end spot will likely be occupied by Qua Russaw or Beau Atkinson, with Atkinson in the lead.
With another week before the Buckeyes take the field, Day likely won't announce the starters until next week. It doesn't make sense for his opponents to get a sense of what he will be doing any sooner than that. Day has always played things close to the vest that way.
Week 2 is when Ohio State's season really starts, and that's when they travel to Austin to take on Texas. As long as the starters are in place by then, that's all that really matters.
