Former Ohio State football player Emeka Egbuka has already taken over duties as the top receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He seemingly makes plays every game and has already shown that he can be counted on to make plays against some of the best defenses in the league.

Last week, Egbuka had another great catch and another really good day, as we told you about. Baker Mayfield has already talked about how much trust he has in Egbuka, even though he's just a rookie. Egbuka has played so well that he is starting to get noticed by the entire league.

Although he's only played in a few games, the former Buckeye player has already gotten an award from the league. The Buckeyes do the best of any school at developing receivers for the NFL. Egbuka was recently named the Offensive Rookie of the Month for his play.

There was really no one else who could have won this award. Egbuka is doing exactly what he did for the Ohio State Buckeyes: be reliable. Through his first four games, Egbuka has 18 catches for 282 yards and four touchdowns. Simply put, he's putting up some serious numbers.

He's just four games into his NFL career, so he's only going to get better as he gets more reps. That also means that more teams are going to start to double-team him to make sure that he doesn't tear them up. It's going to be tougher for him to get the easy yards he's been getting.

Egbuka has continued the tradition of Ohio State receivers excelling in the NFL. It won't be too long before he is considered one of the best receivers in the entire league, not just on his own team. That will make the Buccaneers a very dangerous team.
