We can all agree Ohio State's 2025 recruiting class is one of, if not the best in the country. They have been able to pull in some vital players again and again. But one area that has been lacking a ton as far as recruiting goes is the offensive line.

Currently, they have only been able to bring two recruits who are offensive linemen. The offensive line coach Justin Frye was criticized a lot for how the line performed in games. And some are even calling Frye one of the weakest on the Buckeyes coaching staff and not being able to bring in enough recruits.

One major thing that has been talked about for Frye, was how he has never been able to bring in a five-star recruit. But, he has a chance this offseason to make that happen. Offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. has Ohio State high on his list.

Right now the Buckeyes are in a very competitive spot to get Sanders. They are competing with Tennessee, Georgia, and Clemson. Sanders Jr. has now set a commitment date of August 17th. The first regular season game for Providence Day High School is Thursday, August 22nd.

On 247 Sports, Tom Loy, a national recruiting analyst, has a crystal ball prediction for David Sanders to commit to the Clemson Tigers. Of the four teams currently in the race for him, Ohio State was the last team he visited, his father said "Ohio State left no stone unturned during David Sanders Jr.’s official visit". This could give the Buckeyes a slight advantage in the recruiting process since this is the visit most fresh in his head.

This would be another great win for the 2025 class if Justin Frye can bring Sanders in. Also bringing him in might be saving Frye his job. We will see how this season goes with the offensive line, but bringing in a five-star offensive tackle will be a lot of help and another win for the Buckeyes.
