2. Seth McLaughlin

Ohio State needed help on the offensive line in the offseason, so they went and got Seth McLaughlin in the transfer portal. The center from Alabama struggled with some snaps while he was with Bama but is an excellent blocker. Not only is he good in the run game, but the pass game as well.

McLaughlin is in a battle for the starting center spot with Carson Hinzman. It seems like Luke Montgomery is the favorite to win the starting job at right guard, so McLaughlin's only opportunity to start might be to beat out last year's starting center.

Hinzman was a freshman when he started a year ago. While he had some struggles, I thought he mostly did okay. He wasn't the best offensive lineman by any means, but he certainly wasn't the worst either. He should be better with a year of experience under his belt.

McLaughlin has the edge when it comes to experience though. While with the Crimson Tide, he played in 35 games and started 24 of them. If he plays well in the Spring Game, he could have the edge for that starting spot as we head into the Summer and into Fall camp.

This Ohio State football team needs to get the offensive line right. It was the weakest unit on the team a year ago. It needs to become a strength if they are expecting to win a national championship. The final player on this list plays on what could be the weakest unit on the team this year.
