2. Will Howard

After the season was over, the Ohio State football team decided to move on from Kyle McCord. They let him know that it would be best for him if he transferred elsewhere. He decided to move on to Syracuse and Ohio State decided to get a quarterback in the transfer portal.

They landed on Will Howard from Kansas State. Howard has a plethora of experience in college football, having started in parts of three seasons. While he hasn't officially been named the starting QB for the season, he's the overwhelming favorite to get the job.

The room behind Howard is absolutely stacked. He has two five-star quarterbacks behind him, as well as two guys who have been with the program for two-plus years. If he struggles early on, the calls will be deafening to replace him with one of the other guys. He has a ton of pressure on him.

Howard should be a slight upgrade from McCord just based on the fact that he can actually run the ball. He will open up the read option as a play-call for this team, something the Buckeyes haven't been able to use since 2020. Even if his arm isn't quite as strong, his poise is better.

The starting quarterback of the Ohio State football program always has pressure on him. It comes with the territory. Howard knows that and he's not shying away from it. He knows exactly what he signed up for.

The final person on this list is in charge of the whole program.
