3. The Ohio State football team had a lack of motivation to start the game

Ohio State started this game extremely slow. In fact, they only scored points on one of their first three drives to start out. Against a team in Akron who isn't great, that's a little concerning. Obviously, they got themselves in gear and scored more in the second half, but only 17 points in the first half is a little worrisome.

It's clear that the Ohio State Buckeyes suffered from a lack of motivation to start the game. That's understandable when they play a team like Akron. It's hard to get up for a game against an opponent that they know they will beat by a lot of points. It makes sense that they didn't come out firing.

Of all of the things to be concerned about with this team, this is pretty low on the list. The Buckeyes won't have an issue with this against the likes of Oregon, Penn State, or Michigan. Those are the three big opponents that this team needs to worry about during the regular season.

Still, it would have been nice to see the offense come out firing for the home opener. It would have been cool to see Howard go out and and lead the Buckeyes to a touchdown on his first drive as the team's new starting quarterback.

Only the offensive line issue truly concerns me moving forward. This team is still stacked and I have faith they'll figure it out.
