The Ohio State football team took down the Akron Zips on Saturday afternoon. It was by an impressive margin too. They won 52-6 and the game wasn't super close after the first half. That's when the Buckeyes really turned it up and left Akron behind in the dust.

It was a solid win for the first game of the season. Of course, this game was never in doubt. The Buckeyes weren't concerned about losing this game at any point. Really, the only question coming into the game was how much Ohio State was going to win by.

Still, there are always things that the Buckeyes can do better. That's especially true against teams that are a little better. Also, the Buckeyes still didn't do some things properly against this MAC team. In fact, there were some things that were actually quite concerning.

There are three things that Ohio State football fans should be concerned with after this game. All of these things are fixable so there's no reason to panic...yet. It only becomes a problem if these things don't get remedied within a reasonable amount of time.

The first thing that was concerning was perhaps the most concerning thing I saw on Saturday.

1. The offensive line had no push in the running game

My biggest concern coming into this season was the offensive line. They were the worst unit last year and Justin Frye wasn't fired in the offseason. He's the worst coach left on staff and has proven he can't recruit and it's becoming abundantly clear his on-the-field coaching isn't much better.

Ohio State has the best one-two combination of running backs in the country. Yet, the Buckeyes only managed 5.2 yards per carry against a MAC team. It was particularly concerning in the first half. Quinshon Judkins had just 55 yards on 13 carries, which was only good enough for 4.2 yards per carry.

The offensive line was a little better in pass protection, but they still weren't great. Will Howard had to scamper away a few times. By far the biggest concern on this team coming out of Saturday is the lack of movement that the hogs up front were able to get against a bad team.

If they put up a performance like that against a good team, the Buckeyes could be in trouble. Try that poor performance up front against Oregon or Michigan and this team will lose. Ohio State has to get better up front. Perhaps Chip Kelly can scheme things up to help make up for Frye's poor coaching.

Running the ball is supposed to be an important part of this offense this year. If they can't develop more of a push up front, Howard might have to take more on his shoulders than he's comfortable with. This needs to get fixed, preferably this week against Western Michigan.

The second thing to be concerned with after this game is how few receivers got involved.
