3. The Ohio State football team will be tied with Iowa at halftime

This game isn't just hard because Iowa is a good team. It's hard because of who the Buckeyes have next weekend. They have to take on Oregon in Eugene while the Ducks have some extra rest. They will be on eight days rest because they play on Friday night this week.

Having that hanging over their heads could lead this game against the Hawkeyes to be a trap game. The Buckeyes have to try to not look ahead to next week. The Hawkeyes know this and will try their hardest to stay in the game in the first half. They don't want to get blown out.

For those reasons, I think this will be a tie ballgame at halftime. Iowa is good enough to keep it close early before the Buckeyes eventually pull away and win. Still, having the Hawkeyes stick around until the second half makes things dangerous for Ohio State.

Ohio State is going to try to make sure this game is out of hand in the first half, just like they did against Michigan State. They want to build such a big lead that it's insurmountable. They are going to try to shut them down early to make sure that the second half isn't a factor at all.

I still think the Buckeyes win this game, but it will be a nervous first half for Buckeye fans.
