Three bold predictions for the Ohio State football season
By Ryan Stano
3. The Ohio State football team wins all of their CFP games by at least 14 points en route to a national championship
The Ohio State football team has built this roster and this coaching staff around winning it all this year. Anything less than that would be a disappointment for the Buckeyes. If they were able to win this national title, it would be the third national title they've won in 22 years.
Not only will the Buckeyes win the national championship, but they will be able to win every game in the College Football Playoff that they play by at least two touchdowns. I think by this point in the season, the Buckeyes will have so much confidence that they will be unbeatable.
Will Howard will have the offense humming and the running game will be able to keep the clock on Ohio State's side late in games. By this point, the offense will be able to have long drives and explosive plays that can result in one or two-play drives when they need it.
Defensively, Ohio State will be able to shut down everyone else. With such a large lead, teams will be forced to throw against the best secondary in the country. That won't end well for them. Ohio State will be able to keep everything in front of them and even get a few turnovers.
These are certainly bold predictions for a season that will have a big influence on the future of the Ohio State football program. This time next year, we'll either be celebrating a chance to repeat as national champions or there will be a new guy in charge of the program.
