Three bold predictions for Ohio State football vs. Western Michigan
By Ryan Stano
2. The Ohio State football team won't allow any points until the fourth quarter
It was surprising when Akron scored first last week. They held a 3-0 lead briefly before the Buckeyes' offense got on the board. For whatever reason, Akron's backup quarterback was able to lead the team down the field for some points after their starter got knocked out.
Ohio State will be ready for the start of the game on defense this week. Western Michigan only scored seven points in the first half against the Badgers. They only scored 13 points in total. They don't have the most explosive offense in the country so I don't see them scoring against the starters.
The only time the Broncos will score will be in the fourth quarter. Ohio State's starters won't allow Western Michigan to score any points, not just a touchdown. They will be angry from last week that they even allowed the Zips to get that early field goal.
Ohio State did a great job rushing the quarterback against Akron, recording five sacks. They also scored two touchdowns themselves. I expect the defense to try to get into the end zone again. We'll see if they are able to do that. It would be nice if they can.
The final bold prediction has to deal with the turnover margin in this game.
