Three bold predictions for Ohio State football vs. Michigan State
By Ryan Stano
3. Ohio State rushes for over 250 yards as a team
The two running backs for the Buckeyes were really good last week. Against the Thundering Herd, Judkins had 173 rushing yards and Henderson had 76. As a team, Ohio State rushed for 280 yards on just 31 carries, which was good enough for nine yards per carry.
Michigan State's defense is quite a bit better than Marshall's. Still, I think Ohio State's offense is rouding itself out to be one of the best in the country. We didn't see production like this early in the year under Kyle McCord, even against bad teams. The offense as a whole is more explosive.
That includes the running game. I think Ohio State is going to break off more than a few big runs and gain a ton of yards. As a team, they should be able to crack the 250-yard mark. If you remember my first bold prediction, that means that Ohio State will gain at least 550 yards in this game.
Ohio State is going to prove that they are one of the best offenses not just in the Big Ten, but the country this week. Chip Kelly has completely changed what the ceiling of this team is based on his philosophy and his play-calling. That should be on full display this week.
