The Ohio State football team's revenge against their toughest Big Ten foe
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football program doesn't have a cupcake schedule despite not playing a marquee non-conference opponent this season. The conference schedule more than makes up for that. Several conference foes are ranked and will be tough games.
No game will be tougher for the Buckeyes than the game at Oregon. The game on October 12th will be a game for the ages. Ohio State is ranked second right now and the Ducks are ranked third. It will be a game that college football fans across the country will be watching.
It will also be a game that the Buckeyes have get some revenge in. The last time these two programs faced each other was back in 2021. Oregon came into the Shoe and beat the Buckeyes in September of that year. It was C.J. Stroud's first home game as the starting quarterback. It was a game that showed just how badly they needed a change in the defense.

That game was supposed to be the second of a home-and-home between the two programs. The first game between these two games was supposed to be in Eugene in 2020 but the pandemic canceled that. This year, the Buckeyes will have their first trip there.
Don't think that the Ohio State Buckeyes have forgotten about that 2021 game. There are plenty of players still on this year's team who were also on that team that lost to the Ducks. Denzel Burke was a starter on that team as a freshman and will be looking to play better this time around.
If the Buckeyes are able to win this game, they would set themselves up great to make the College Football Playoff. They would also be in the driver's seat in the Big Ten Conference as well. It's going to be a great game to watch and is going to be one of several great games on that day.
