The Ohio State football team won another dominant game against Marshall over the weekend. This time, the score was 49-14. In this game, it was the offense that really showed what they could do. They were an explosive unit that was able to make big plays almost at will.

Part of the reason why they were so explosive is because of the run game. While the Buckeyes did have passes of 68 and 53 yards for touchdowns, it was the ground game that really shined in this one. Quinshon Judkins had a run of 86 yards for a touchdown. He showed he might be the best back that the Buckeyes have.

Judkins finished the day with 173 rushing yards and two touchdowns on just 14 carries. The transfer from Ole Miss really showed that he can be a home-run hitter instead of just more than a power back. TreVeyon Henderson is no slouch either. He had a 40-yard touchdown run too and scored two touchdowns of his own.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have been searching for their identity this season. It's clear that they are a running team this year. With Henderson and Judkins racking up yards like this, they are a run-first team that can also pass it really well. Chip Kelly wants to be great on the ground.

In each of the last two games, the offensive line has blocked a lot better in the ground game. They have been able to open up holes and get into the second level. That has certainly helped the Buckeyes gobble up chunks of yards. The play-action pass is going to become a big weapon this year.

Now that the non-conference schedule is over, it's imperative that the Buckeyes keep running the ball well against Big Ten opponents. They need to be the toughest team in the conference to accomplish all of the goals that they want to reach.
