The preseason Big Ten poll has come out and the media loves the Ohio State football team this year. Michigan, not so much.

We knew heading into this season that the Ohio State football team was going to be one of the favorites to win the Big Ten. Not just the Big Ten, but a national championship as well. Many expect them to be a top-three team when the preseason polls come out.

On Monday, the Big Ten media voted on how they think the Big Ten will shake out. Of the 33 members who voted, 27 of them picked the Buckeyes to win the conference. The other six picked Oregon, who finished second in the poll. As you can see, most of the media believe in the Buckeyes.

While the Ohio State football program is predicted to win the Big Ten, how does the rest of the Big Ten shake out? Oregon is voted to finish second. Those two were expected. Oregon is also likely to be a top-five team in the polls when they do come out at the end of the month.

Where does Michigan come in? The Big Ten media does not believe that they will be as good as they were a year ago. Coming off a national championship (during a season they cheated), TTUN has lost too much for the media to think they'll contend for the conference title. They're projected to finish fourth.

Penn State was voted third, which is their usual spot. Iowa rounds out the top five. The other new Big Ten members don't seem to be getting as much love as Oregon. USC was voted sixth, Washington was voted tenth, and UCLA was voted 15th. The Washington vote is shocking considering they played for a national title last season.

As far as the Ohio State football program is concerned, this isn't a surprising development. Anything less than a Big Ten title would be a disappointing result for the Buckeyes.
