5. Ohio State takes down TTUN to seal a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game

Ohio State came into The Game as a heavy favorite. Michigan was suffering through a terrible season under Brady Hoke and they would end up winning just five games that season. Nonetheless, TTUN was looking for an upset to keep the Buckeyes from keeping their run at the end of the season alive.

For the first half, it looked like they might just do exactly that. It was tied at 14 all heading into halftime. It wasn't the same kind of offensive output that the Buckeyes had been enjoying for most of the season. This was more of a slog, but they could win those kinds of games too.

Ezekiel Elliott ran for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns, gaining a whopping 7.1 yards per carry. The Buckeyes as a team ran for 233 yards and started to pull away in the fourth quarter after Elliott scored to make it a 35-21 game. Unfortunately, J.T. Barrett broke his ankle on that drive (more on that in a bit).

Barrett finished the game 13/21 for 176 yards and a touchdown through the air. He added another 89 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground on 15 carries. He was the best player on the field for the Buckeyes, as he had been most of the games that season.

Our next memory comes courtesy of this exact same game. It wasn't a good memory.
