The Ohio State football team has to replace the best receiver from last year's team. Marvin Harrison Jr. is now in the NFL after being the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He's now playing for the Arizona Cardinals and will be starting his NFL career in a couple of weeks,

Harrison Jr. is probably the most talented rookie in this year's class. He has a really good chance to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. That is, as long as he can keep the mounting distractions off the field from affecting his performance on the field.

We told you about the Fanatics lawsuit against Harrison Jr. Because of that, fans still can't get his jersey or any memorabilia with his name on it. He is trying to sell all of that stuff himself. The lawsuit just got upgraded to create an even bigger distraction as he heads into his rookie year.

Ex-Ohio State football player Marvin Harrison Jr. continues to deal with lawsuit

Fanatics has now upgraded the lawsuit to include his dad Marvin Harrison Sr. They allege that he actually signed the contract with Fanatics and participated in fraud knowing that his son had no intentions of actually completing the terms of the deal.

This is not how you want to start your rookie season. The local media in Arizona is going to be all over this until it gets resolved. It'll only get worse if the Cardinals don't win games or if this becomes an even larger distraction because of some other amendment to the suit.

Harrison Jr. is a great football player. He was great when he was with the Buckeyes. He was clearly the best player for the Ohio State Buckeyes last season. I think he will be a great pro. With all of that said, this is an unforced distraction that can't be good for his prep to start his career in a new place.
