There are so many recruiting sites out there that you can get lost in them all and end up not sure who is really providing you with solid information. One guy I really trust is Bill Kurelic of Bucknuts. He’s one of the very best in the business when it comes to Ohio State football. So, when he says to keep an eye on a certain under-the-radar player, you can bet I’m going to pay attention.

Kurelic, a longtime Ohio recruiting guru, says Ohio State has developed an interest in Gilmour Academy tight end Brody Lennon. Right now, Lennon is not rated by 247Sports, but Kurelic feels his recruitment is about to take off. When one of the heavy hitters begins to show interest in a player, more usually follow, and suddenly, the guy without a rating turns into a four-star prospect.

Lennon told Kurelic that OSU tight ends coach Keenan Bailey has watched his tape and liked what he saw. He’ll be visiting the Buckeyes in early March during spring practice. The 6’4”, 220-pound senior-to-be had 32 catches for 750 yards last season. He also had 13 sacks as a defensive end. Kentucky, Pitt (they’re still a Power 4 program, right?), and Indiana are among the seven offers Lennon currently holds. Ohio State has not yet offered, but that is probably coming at some point.

Nate Roberts, the nation’s fourth-rankled tight end according to 247Sports Composite rankings, is the Buckeyes’ top target at the position. The Oklahoma native has two Crystal Ball predictions for the Ohio State football program. The Buckeyes will lose at least one tight end after the 2024 season for sure and more could leave via the transfer portal, so it is a bit up in the air how many they will take in this current recruiting cycle. If they like Lennon enough, you can bet they’ll make room for him.

You’re probably wondering how much interest Lennon has in the Buckeyes. He describes himself as a lifelong fan and his dad is an Ohio State alum. I’m guessing the Buckeyes are at the top of his list.
