One surprising Ohio State football player did not make College Football 25 top 100
By Tyler Lyman
EA Sports released a list of the top 100 overall in their video game College Football 25 which will be released soon. Ohio State had many players make the list and even had two in the top 10. But when looking over the list I saw one key defensive player missing.
That player would be J.T. Tuimoloau. I was pretty shocked when I didn't see him make the cut, I mean many have said he has NFL talent. Most likely if he decided after last season to go to the NFL Draft instead of coming back for another year with the Buckeyes, he would have been drafted.
The defensive end of the opposite side of Tuimoloau, Jack Sawyer, made the list and was rated as the 29th highest overall in the game. Another player on the defensive line made the top 100 as well, that player was defensive tackle Tyleik Williams, who came in as the 54th highest overall. JT isn't far from either of these players' talents and not seeing him with them is definitely a surprise.
Let's compare the stats, in the 2023 season, Jack Sawyer got 48 combined tackles, 24 being solo, 6.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 passes defended. Tyleik Williams in 2023 had, 54 total tackles, with 20 solo tackles, 5 sacks, and 2 passes defended. J.T. Tuimoloau had 12 solo tackles with 38 total tackles, 5 sacks, and also 2 passes defended.
As you can see from the stats, JT isn't far from either of these guys and to think that he isn't a top 100-rated player in college football is pretty crazy. But it does say that all overalls are subject to change throughout any point and especially after Tuimoloau gets the chance to go back out on the field I think he will end up being in the top 100.
However it is just a video game, and this has no real impact on the actual play of the Ohio State Buckeyes. JT and the 8 players who made the list are going to go out and play as well as everyone has been saying they will.
