2024 has seen a lot go on already for the Ohio State football program. They have a new OC, a new safeties coach, a new starting quarterback, and a lot of guys are coming back on defense. The Buckeyes look like they are going to be a great team next season.

It looks like they could add on to a great recruiting class in 2024 too. They are now favored to land a five-star quarterback because of the hiring of Bill O'Brien. That quarterback is Julian Sayin. Sayin was the third-rated quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class and signed with Alabama.

Now that Nick Saban is gone and Kalen DeBoer brought Austin Mack with him from Washington, Sayin has decided to enter the transfer portal. The Ohio State football team is now favored to land him because of O'Brien's relationship with him while he was at Alabama.

Sayin also was recruited by Ohio State early on. After it was clear he wanted to play for Saban, the Buckeyes moved on to Air Noland and signed him instead. It looks like there could be a battle between those two for the starting job in 2025 if Sayin does indeed come to Columbus.

Sayin stands at 6'1 and 195 pounds but has a strong arm and an accurate one. He also can move around a bit and could be a threat to run. He's a really good player and Ohio State should add him if they can, even if he won't start next year. They need all the talent they can get.

Would adding Sayin mess up the quarterback room? Possibly. You could see Lincoln Kienholz and Devin Brown transfer out in the Spring if Sayin were to come to Columbus. That's fine though. Sayin and Noland are both really good and I'd be comfortable with either of them starting in 2025.

There still is plenty that can happen, but it looks like the Buckeyes are ready to add some more elite talent.
