The Ohio State football team has been hosting a bunch of recruits this weekend. It might be the most important recruiting weekend of the year for the Buckeyes as they are hosting 12 recruits. Four of them are five-star recruits as well. They are hoping for multiple commitments this weekend.

They were able to get one commitment early on Sunday afternoon. Three-star offensive lineman Jake Cook decided to commit to the Buckeyes after his visit. He clearly loved what he saw in Columbus and he was happy to play for Ohio State.

Cook is an in-state prospect. He is from Westerville, Ohio, and is an interior lineman. Standing at 6'5 and 295 pounds, he has room on his frame to put on some weight. He is a good player who needs some coaching in order to make him a great player. That's reflected in his recruiting ranking.

With the commitment of Cook, Ohio State has 18 commits for the 2025 recruiting class. They continue to have the best recruiting class in the country. Cook is a nice get, but Frye is still trying to land some big fish on the offensive line. Cook is not the only offensive lineman this weekend that he is hoping to get.

I would be surprised if the Ohio State football program didn't get at least one more commitment at the end of the weekend. Of the 12 prospects available, a handful had already committed to the Buckeyes heading into the weekend. They were helping recruit for Ohio State.

We'll see how many prospects end up committing to the Buckeyes in the next few days. They are hoping for at least one five-star commitment but the time Monday rolls around. Ohio State still has work to do after this weekend anyway. They are far from done.
