Ohio State football recruit invited to Elite 11 Finals
By Ryan Stano
What do C.J. Stroud, Kyle McCord, Quinn Ewers, Devin Brown, Air Noland, and Julian Sayin all have in common besides playing the Ohio State football team? All of them were part of the Elite 11 Finals. In fact, two of those quarterbacks ended up being the MVP of the camp.
Both Sayin and Stroud were the MVPs. We saw how good Stroud ended up being while he was a Buckeye. Sayin will prove that in a few years. As you can see, the Buckeyes recruit the best quarterback talent in the country. You can now add another QB to the list who made the Elite 11 Finals.
Tavien St. Clair, a 2025 Ohio State football recruit, is a finalist. He's a five-star recruit and is out of Bellefontaine, Ohio. St. Clair was offered by Ohio State back when he was a three-star recruit. Now, he's the fourth-best quarterback recruit in the country.
St. Clair will have to battle the other best quarterbacks in the country. All of the other competitors will be going to some of the best schools in the country. They are all highly-touted recruits too, so it will be a good test for St. Clair. He doesn't play the best competition in the conference he's in right now.
When St. Clair does get to the Buckeyes, he will have to engage in a fierce quarterback competition. With Will Howard gone, It will be up to Sayin, Noland, and St. Clair for the starting quarterback spot. Brown might still be with the team as well and he would have the most experience.
Ohio State football fans should be excited to see St. Clair come in and compete. The quarterback room is competitive this year. It will be insanely competitive next season once all these young quarterbacks truly fight for the starting spot.
