Ohio State football program gets another commitment during the Spring Game
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football program got a commitment before the Spring Game from a four-star tight end. It was a good start to what was a great day for the Buckeyes. It also wasn't the only commitment they were expecting to get this weekend because of how many recruits they were hosting.
Ohio State got a commitment during the game early in the first quarter. They got one from three-star safety Cody Haddad. Haddad hails from St. Ignatius up in Cleveland. That's a football powerhouse in the state of Ohio that has produced a lot of good players.
Haddad stands at 6'1 and 175 pounds, so he's not huge. He has room to put on some muscle though. He has shown that he has good ball skills as a safety even though he's officially listed as an athlete as a recruit. Still, he projects to play safety for the Buckeyes.
The Buckeyes have now added a 13th member to their recruiting class. They have the second-best recruiting class in the country right now for the 2025 class. Haddad will help that ranking, as will other recruits who will certainly commit over the course of the weekend.
The Ohio State football team has a lot of solid players in the secondary from this recruiting class. It might end up being the best collection of secondary players in recent Ohio State history. Tim Walton and Matt Guerrieri are doing a fantastic job recruiting.
Ohio State is still looking to add some players on the offensive side of the ball. That is their priority moving forward on the recruiting trail. Expect some guys to commit this weekend and shortly after on that side of the ball.
It's going to be a great weekend of football that Buckeye fans will love. The Spring Game is always an exciting time.
