Ohio State football player TreVeyon Henderson shares his recent struggles

The Ohio State football team has one of the best backfields in the country. TreVeyon Henderson is the leader of that backfield. He's going to be the starter for a team that has national championship aspirations and he's returning for his senior season with something to prove.

Henderson's career has had a lot of ups and downs. He started out as a Freshman All-American after rushing for 1,248 yards and 15 touchdowns. It looked like the five-star recruit was going to be a perennial All-American throughout his time in Columbus.

Since that great first year, injuries have piled up a bit. He hasn't been able to be as effective as he's wanted to be. Stuff has piled up physically as well as mentally. Recently, he sat down for an interview with Eleven Warriors and revealed some pretty interesting stuff.

One of the things he mentioned he's been dealing with is sleep paralysis. It's a disorder that leaves a person unable to move when they either fall asleep or are beginning to wait. Those afflicted can even hear voices or see visions, both of which Henderson has said he's had to deal with.

Imagine not being able to get any sleep because you're afraid of having to deal with something like that. That's something very tough. We know about his broken foot in his sophomore season that cause his numbers to decline and he talks about that as well.

Henderson also talks about his mental state and how at times he's had suicidal thoughts. He also talks about how he's been able to overcome that and adjust to the life he now has. It's a nice interview and I highly encourage everyone to click that link above and give it a read.
