EA Sports College Football 25 is set to release very soon on July 19th. It is a very anticipated game that many fans have waited for since EA ended the game back in 2014. Lately, they have been giving some teasers here and there to keep fans on the edge of their seats. They let Josh Pate play the game early, and when he played he used Ohio State, he was able to give some information about the Buckeyes.

Jeremiah Smith, the freshman, and former five-star receiver, received an overall of 84. This is impressive, he is one of the highest-rated freshmen in the nation, and it's good to see the game portray that. There are many high hopes for Smith as he dominated during the spring practices, getting many clips of impressive catches.

Another cool thing about his overall is the fact it's just one away from the Buckeyes starting quarterback, Will Howard. Howard was given an 85 overall and I think it goes to show how good everyone is predicting Smith to be for him to have an overall one less than the starting quarterback.

Smith is going to have a chance to get a lot of playing time even as a freshman. He's been one of the most hyped-up prospects in recent Ohio State football history. He's already a really good player and could end up being the third-best receiver on the team already.

Ohio State already has established its top two receivers in Emeka Egbuka and Carnell Tate. Smith is going to be battling with a host of other players to get that third receiver spot this year. There's a very good chance he gets it.

There's tons of hype around Jeremiah Smith incoming the 2024 season, let's just hope that he will live up to that once Ohio State starts their season.
