Ohio State football fans will be seeing a lot of Pat McAfee this Fall

The Ohio State football team is certain to be on College Gameday this Fall quite a lot. That means fans will be seeing Pat McAfee again.

Ohio State football fans are very opinionated when it comes to media personalities. There are certain ones that they like and certain ones that they hate. They love Urban Meyer and Kirk Herbstreit, both former Buckeyes. They also absolutely hate Desmond Howard, which is understandable.

One personality that Ohio State football fans seem to be split on is Pat McAfee. McAfee was on College Gameday last year for the first time and he garnered mixed reaction. On his own show, he has former Buckeye A.J. Hawk as his co-host essentially. That's not enough to endear him to certain fans.

Love him or hate him, McAfee is staying on College Gameday. He announced on his show on Wednesday that he would be returning to Gameday this fall for ESPN. That means that Ohio State fans will be seeing him in the mornings when they tune in.

Personally, I kind of like McAfee. He does things differently and tries to have more fun on set than some of the other people in college football media. I do think sometimes it's a bit too much, but he's still fun to watch. He seems to like Ohio State as well since he has a friendship with Hawk.

The Buckeyes likely won't be featured on Gameday quite as much this season now that all of the TV contracts have finally finalized themselves. The only time they'd be on ESPN or ABC is if they end up making the College Football Playoff since it's contracted with ESPN.

McAfee still likes getting fans involved and loves to show off for big crowds. You can bet that there will be a big crowd if Gameday decides to visit Columbus for The Game again this season. He talks about Ohio State rationally too, which fans appreciate.
