Ohio State football: Ex-Michigan staffer essentially calls Jim Harbaugh a liar

An ex-Michigan staffer is calling Jim Harbaugh out and claims he knew what he was doing committing recruiting violations.

The Ohio State football program has had a lot of fun this offseason watching Michigan get dragged for cheating. The Connor Stalions saga is something that's out of Hollywood and doesn't seem like a real cheating scandal. Then, there's the recruiting violations Michigan just got hammered for.

Jim Harbaugh was just hit with penalties stemming from illegal recruiting during the COVID-19 dead period. They had recruits on campus when they were not allowed to. Just from those penalties alone, the Ohio State Buckeyes will never see Harbaugh in college ever again.

Harbaugh maintains that he knew nothing of the Stalions scandal. Apparently, he knew about the recruiting violations he was recruiting though. In fact, if an ex-Michigan staffer is to be believed, Harbaugh actually told members of his staff to commit these violations.

Ohio State football fans might see stiffer penalties levied on Michigan

According to the NCAA Division of Infractions, a former director told the NCAA during multiple interviews that Harbaugh told staffers to "go up to the line and cross it". That shows that Harbaugh not only knew about the violations, he actively encouraged them.

This is probably the biggest reason Harbaugh received a four-year show cause. He won't be able to coach again in college, but he probably won't want to anyway. He's been waiting to get back into the NFL for years. Now, he leaves a trail of destruction in his wake.

The Ohio State football team might be facing TTUN with a lot fewer staffers on the sidelines. We still don't know what the penalties are for the university itself. That will probably come sometime soon. Whatever they are, they will certainly be severe. The Stalions penalties are still coming too.

It's clear that Michigan's football program can only win when they cheat. If the last few years have taught us anything, it's that.
