The Ohio State football team is continuing to recruit at an elite level. As the 2024 recruiting class is coming to a close next week, currently ranked No. 3 in the nation according to 247Sports, this 2025 class is starting to take shape as well.

The class is seven members deep right now and counting. Led by four-star, in-state quarterback Tavien St. Clair, this class has some major recruits at important positions of need. Starting with St. Clair, the Buckeye quarterback room will indeed take a dramatic shift over the next year, more than likely resulting in at least two players transferring out. St. Clair will help ease the pain a bit and will be an exciting developmental player for Ryan Day and Bill O'Brien to work with.

A massive area of need was addressed last week when Toledo native and top-40 national recruit Carter Lowe committed to Justin Frye and Ohio State. Offensive tackle is a clear area of need in recruiting, and Frye went out and got one of the best in the country for the 2025 class.

Ohio State also has one of the best overall players in the country in Devin Sanchez, the five-star corner from Houston, Texas. Tim Walton going into Texas to pluck this kid is an impressive get and is an extremely important piece to the '25 recruiting class as a high-end talent.

But expect more news regarding this class to start to trickle out as some very key players that Ohio State has its eye on could start to commit including four-star tight end Nate Roberts, five-star corner Na'eem Offord, and four-star running back Bo Jackson. All could verbally commit to Ohio State at any time now.

It's about to get really busy for the Ohio State football program very soon. Between offseason workouts, Spring ball, and putting together this 2025 recruiting class, Ryan Day and his staff have their hands full. Keep it locked into Scarlet and Game for all the latest.
