Ohio State basketball vs. Iowa: Best bets

I will be the first person to tell you that watching the Ohio State basketball team is not fun. Their defense is terrible, they can't shoot from three, and they are poorly coached. Oh, did you know they haven't won a road game in over a year? Great times for the Buckeyes!

Yet, I can't stop watching because I'm a fan who always hopes for the best. What has helped is putting some bets down to make the games a little more interesting. There are some interesting bets for Ohio State's game against Iowa tonight that I'm watching as well.

The first thing that jumps to my mind is the spread. All of these odds will be courtesy of DraftKings. According to them, Iowa is a 5-point favorite. I would hammer that. This game is on the road and the Buckeyes haven't played a game within six points in the last six games and they've lost five of those.

Secondly, I would take the over 5.5 rebounds for Jamison Battle. He's not the primary rebounder on this team and the Buckeyes don't do a great job of rebounding the ball, but he's gone over that number in three of the last four games. If Felix Okpara gets in foul trouble, he could be the one gobbling up boards.

Finally, over 2.5 assists for Roddy Gayle looks like something solid. That's not very many assists and Gayle has hit over that number in three of the last four games. If he isn't hitting his shots early, he becomes more of a passer. That's a juicy number for that.

If you decide to parlay all three of these bets together, you get +550 odds. That would certainly make watching Ohio State basketball a lot more fun than it is currently. Here's hoping they do finally get a win on the road though!
